The Senior Advocate Ombudsman speaks up for residents of nursing homes and assisted living, and Senior Services also runs the region's front line against elder abuse and scams targeting older adults.

What's included

  • Senior Advocate Ombudsman

    A free, trained advocate who investigates and mediates complaints about nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community-based care, and explains a resident's rights and long-term care options.

  • Elder Abuse Awareness

    A 24-hour hotline for reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation of an older adult. Calls can be made anonymously.

  • Scam Prevention

    Practical guidance on protecting yourself from phone, email, and mail scams that target older adults, including tax scams and the grandparent scam.
