Linda Carter Franklin

I have drawn all my life, but it wasn’t until I retired from the medical field and moved from Nashville to Columbia that I began to take painting classes- acrylic at first and now oils-in studio and en plein air. I have taken weekly art classes with certified teachers and workshops with nationally and globally known artists and continue with a scheduled mentored class.

To me painting is self-expression. Beauty is intangible but I try to capture the pleasurable sensation I receive from seeing beauty in the world around me. Almost anything can be the subject of a painting. We just have to SEE. My art is an attempt to express these delightful feelings through color, form, light and shadow. I hope you enjoy.
